ABOUT ME

Through four years of personal therapy before I started my professional qualifications, the relationship that I had with my therapist that offered me an insight into the Humanistic and Integrative approach, changing my behaviour and perspective of life to a positive one and understanding the relationship between two people and how it is the core of the work as a therapist.

Following my personal journey with therapy,I now have a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy degree, completed at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottinghamshire. My degree is a nationally recognised Bachelor of Science qualification and was awarded by Staffordshire University. I am also a registered member the of BACP and ACCPH.

In addition to my private counselling practice, I currently work with a charity, Riders Minds, supporting equestrians who struggle with their mental health.

I previously operated as a volunteer counsellor with Nottinghamshire Mind in Mansfield for over 2 years and have worked as a volunteer for the mental health text service Shout, working with people in crisis and struggling with their mental health.

Throughout my professional development I have focused on:

  • Domestic abuse and risk management.

  • Working with ADHD.

  • Working with grief and loss.

  • Mastering the basics of dialectical behaviour therapy.

  • Working creatively with clients' inner child.
